Farm Animals

Children and adults alike enjoy the quiet animals on our farmlet and are welcome to help with farm activities such as collecting fresh-laid eggs, feeding the hens and farm animals, searching for olives, or moving the stock. Sometimes we have calves to feed, or other seasonal chores to attend to.

Our hens are free-range and enjoy roaming our fields during the day eating grass, worms and insects. We shut them in at night to induce them to lay their eggs next morning in the nesting box provided rather than all over the farm! Their eggs taste wonderful and have deep golden yolks.

Our new kitten Tarsha acts as if she’s half-dog, half-cat. She likes to accompany Lynlie to watch the farm work being done.
