Fallowfield Chalet
With its own spectacular panoramic outlook over a vast fertile valley bounded on one side by the Kaimai Mountain range and on the other by the Pacific Ocean, this one-bedroomed hillside chalet on our five-acre farmlet is ideally situated for a relaxing stay.
Fallowfield Chalet is set amongst fields and a small new olive grove, some 120 metres away from the main house of Jacaranda Cottage, ensuring peace and privacy. Guests are, however, always welcome to call in at the main house for a chat or to share a cup of tea or coffee. Men may like to explore Rick’s modest collection of vintage tools and machinery; Lynlie enjoys children ‘helping’ her with the quiet smallfarm animals, and loves to take guests on evening glowworm expeditions.
There’s so much to see and do in and around Katikati. The native forest is on your doorstep, offering many opportunities for bush tramps or bird watching. For golfers, the course at Resort Pacifica is only 3km away. Enjoy lunch amongst the gardens and birds at the Bird Gardens, soak in the thermal hot pools at Athenree, go swimming in the surf or walk along the ocean beach at Island View, go fishing or explore the walks, views and beaches at Bowentown Heads. Arts and crafts abound—browse in the Craft Centre to choose your unique treasure. With restaurants, coffee houses and home bakeries a-plenty you shouldn’t go hungry.
Make Fallowfield Chalet your base for exploring the wider Bay of Plenty and the nearby areas of the Coromandel Peninsula and Central Waikato. The geysers and bubbling mud pools of Rotorua are only an hour’s drive away.

Clean, warm and well-equipped with kitchen facilities, cooker, fridge, microwave, washing machine, TV, baby’s highchair. All linen supplied. Open plan living/dining area with fold-out double divan couch.
Bedroom contains one double bed and one single bed; bathroom is ensuite to the bedroom and has a shower over a ‘shub’ (mini-tub)
